‘Technology has weaponised gambling’ as new gambling reforms pass the Senate

Former Labor Councillor Linda Scott says gambling reforms are needed as “technology has weaponised gambling” and made it far more accessible for people.

“First of all, gambling in Labor’s platform. This is the first time we’ve actually embedded some sort of policy about that in Labor’s platform,” Ms Scott told News24 host Paul Murray.

“We have a much stronger set of controls around gambling, because it’s not a minority, it harms many people.
“Technology has weaponised gambling to be so much more addictive.”
