A 24-hour unmanned coffee shop run entirely by a humanoid robot opened in Beijing on Sunday, offering freshly brewed coffee with an average wait time of less than 30 seconds per cup.
Inside the store, a single embodied intelligence robot handles the entire process from grinding, brewing, and mixing to serving. Customers can place orders through a self-service system and customise sweetness and coffee intensity.
On its opening day, the shop successfully set a Guinness World Record for the most cups of coffee served by a robot-operated store in one hour, with 202 cups prepared and served.
