$40 million boost for MND research network | 7NEWS
The federal government has announced a $40 million grant to establish the Neale Daniher National MND Clinical Network for motor neurone disease research. The network will fast-track drug trials, improve access to clinical trials across Australia regardless of postcode, and boost data gathering capacity in the search for a cure. Neale Daniher, who served as Australian of the Year, used AI eye-gaze technology to address the announcement, emphasising the investment will lay foundations so others don’t face what he has experienced.
