Ceuta authorities warn of impending catastrophe as children remain stranded


The death toll from last week’s massive border rush into Spain’s North African exclave of Ceuta has risen to 100.

One week on from the incident, it’s thought between 3,000 and 5,000 migrants are still in the territory, many of them underage.

Local authorities are warning of an impending humanitarian catastrophe and are calling for more help from mainland Europe.
