Aussie students 3D print rocket engine with help from CSIRO | ABC NEWS
Australian university students have built a rocket engine using a 3D printer with help from CSIRO. The University of Melbourne Aerospace and Rocket Engineering Society designed and manufactured the regeneratively cooled liquid bipropellant rocket engine nicknamed ‘Slinky’ alongisde Australia’s peak science agency. The low cost 3D printing process allowed the design’s complex structure to be produced in 66 hours.
