Pauline Hanson’s criticised for banning ABC and The Guardian from press conferences
Greens senator Sarah Hanson-Young has called Pauline Hanson a “political coward” over the One Nation leader’s decision to ban the ABC and The Guardian from attending her press conferences.
“This is a person who is scared of scrutiny, a politician who thinks that she should have the right to say whatever she wants, but no one else should have the right to ask questions,” Hanson said.
Hanson was questioned about the media bans at a press conference at a One Nation fundraiser where she announced eight Victorian election candidates.
Hanson defended her decision, saying the ABC was “not fair and just” in its reporting of her and One Nation.
“I’m not putting up with the spin, gotcha moments, wanting to have a go at me, or treat us totally different to what you do the other major parties,” Hanson said.
