Twelve-year-old denied bail over Melbourne good Samaritan attack

A 12-year-old boy has been denied bail over an alleged attack on a 60-year-old good Samaritan in Sunshine, Melbourne. The victim intervened to help a fellow shopkeeper confronted by a group of young thieves and was repeatedly punched before falling and hitting his head, sustaining what the court has described as “unsurvivable injuries”.
