Trump threatens new EU tariffs over $1 billion Google fine
US President Donald Trump has warned of further tariffs on the European Union following its decision to fine Google.
The EU has fined Google $US1 billion for breaching the union’s Digital Markets Act.
The legislation is focused on containing Big Tech’s operating practices in Europe.
Posting on Truth Social, the US President accused the European Union of “illegal and highly unethical conduct”, warning they will pay a “very big price”.
