‘Nothing delivered’: Albanese government falls well short of housing goal
Sky News Senior Reporter Caroline Marcus rips into Housing Minister Clare O’Neil for meeting only five per cent of the government’s $10 billion housing promise of 40,000 new affordable homes.
“She can’t oversee this very important portfolio,” Ms Marcus told Sky News host Peta Credlin.
“It’s about 1,400 [homes] and it’s three years off.”
Ms Marcus said Housing Australia has “axed an independent committee” so there is “no one to make sure that the spending is defensible.”
“[It is] never going to happen.
“More waste and nothing delivered.”
