An Iranian conservative newspaper known for its hardline tone has published an online infographic naming 13 foreign leaders as revenge targets after the killing of Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei on 28 February 2026, the opening day of the Middle East war.
Those pictured include US President Donald Trump, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, British Prime Minister Keir Starmer, and other senior Western leaders. The post was released alongside a statement attributed to Mojtaba Khamenei, who vowed that vengeance must be carried out.
Trump later told the New York Post he had left instructions for an overwhelming military response if Iran succeeded in any assassination plot against him. The newspaper list has not been confirmed as an official Iranian government target list.
