Palestinian Leader rejects future role for Hamas during UN address
Palestinian Leader Mahmoud Abbas has appeared at the UN to reject any future role for Hamas.
The 89-year-old, who appeared via video link because a visa wasn’t granted, said the terror group will play no part in governance once the war ends.
He also vowed his people would not be moved from Gaza.
As Mr Abbas appeared at the UN, President Donald Trump said the US is close to reaching a deal on ending the war in Gaza.
