Albanese pours drinks at New York pub
Prime Minister Anthony Albanese was seen pouring drinks at an Australian pub in New York after speaking at the UN General Assembly.
“It’s been a really proud occasion as Australia’s prime minister to be here to talk to the United Nations tonight. But it’s also really fun to be with you tonight as well,” Albanese told punters before ringing the bar’s bell.
Radio host Michael ‘Wippa’ Wipfli, who was Albanese’s guest at the UN, observed that security closed off the street during the prime minister’s visit to the Australian-owned Old Mates Pub.
Wipfli also spoke at the General Assembly about his successful 36 Months campaign to increase the social media age requirement from 13 to 16, which will come into effect on 10 December.
