Israeli troops occupy medieval stronghold in Lebanon | Iran and the US exchange fire
Israel’s Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has ordered fresh military strikes on Beirut’s southern suburbs.
It comes as Israeli troops push even deeper into southern Lebanon… on the eve of another round of talks between Lebanese and Israeli diplomats in Washington.
An emergency meeting of the UN Security Council is scheduled in the coming hours on the back of Israel’s expanded military operations which included the seizure of a strategic castle in southern Lebanon.
