Rescuers say the four men trapped in a semi-submerged cave in Laos for 10 days have emerged safely. One villager was brought to the surface a day earlier, raising the total freed to five.
Josh Richards, an Australian diver who joined the rescue efforts on Friday, told the ABC the operation was “incredibly challenging” because of the claustrophobic conditions.
