White House transforms into UFC arena for Trump birthday fight night

Set-up is underway on the South Lawn of the White House ahead of a planned UFC event celebrating Donald Trump’s 80th birthday.
Cranes, construction vehicles and workers could be seen behind heavy security as crews built temporary stands and event infrastructure on the White House grounds.
National Guard troops and police officers were stationed around the perimeter as preparations continued in Washington, D.C.
The event, titled UFC Freedom 250, is scheduled for June 14 and is expected to feature six fights, including a lightweight title bout between Ilia Topuria and Justin Gaethje.
Footage from the site shows large-scale construction taking place directly behind the White House, with grandstands rising across the South Lawn.
The unusual sporting event is set to transform the presidential grounds into a temporary mixed martial arts arena for one night only.
