Crowds flock back to White House after gunman killed by Secret Service

Tourists returned to the White House less than 24 hours after a deadly shooting at a nearby security checkpoint, with crowds gathering despite a heavy police presence and visible signs of the attack.
Visitors were seen taking photos near a bullet hole in a museum window and walking past blood stains left on the footpath after Secret Service officers shot and killed a gunman on Saturday night.
Many tourists described the atmosphere as calm and safe, even as additional fencing, police tape and armed officers surrounded the White House complex following the incident.
