Melbourne teen becomes youngest Australian to summit Everest | 7NEWS
Bianca Adler, an 18-year-old Melbourne schoolgirl, has become the youngest Australian to summit Mount Everest, reaching the peak at 8,849 metres after a 41-day expedition that began on 9 April. The Brighton student, who is currently completing her VCE, successfully conquered the mountain on her second attempt after being forced to abandon a previous climb just 400 metres from the summit due to weather conditions. Both of Bianca’s parents have previously climbed Everest, and she grew up in the French Alps before the family moved to Australia.
