Merrylands restaurant targeted in suspicious arson attack | 7NEWS

A suspicious fire was deliberately lit at Iftar restaurant on Main Lane in Merrylands around 1:30am. The blaze, which smelled strongly of petrol, was extinguished by the building’s sprinkler system before emergency services arrived, causing damage to the front of the restaurant and leaving a large boulder at the scene. Two cleaners who were present at the time escaped without injury.
