Trump-backed Navy SEAL brutally crushes Massie in major Kentucky GOP upset
Thomas Massie has been defeated in Kentucky’s high-stakes Republican primary by Trump-backed challenger Ed Gallrein.
Gallrein, a retired Navy SEAL, rode Trump’s endorsement to victory after months of bitter attacks against Massie.
Trump repeatedly targeted Massie as disloyal to the MAGA movement and pushed hard to remove him from Congress.
During his concession speech, Massie accused powerful forces in Washington of trying to “buy” his vote.
The race became the most expensive House primary in US history, with more than $30 million spent on the showdown.
