Demand from Tuvaluans for the landmark Falepili visa has been overwhelming as they face the existential threat of climate change.
In its first year more than 8,000 Tuvaluans applied for 280 places to move to Australia.
The second year of the ballot has now opened and Johnson Raela sat down with Tuvalu’s Prime Minister Feleti Teo to discuss migration, climate pressures, and the future of his country.
