The NSW Independent Commission Against Corruption is investigating three senior executives at Parramatta Council, dubbed the ‘Pink Ladies’, for allegedly using covert surveillance to spy on staff and an elected councillor. Former CEO Gail Connolly, along with managers Roxanne Thornton and Angela Jones Blaney, are accused of subverting hiring practices to secure jobs for allies, misusing public funds, and targeting staff members perceived as threats. The Operation Navarra hearing is expected to run for four weeks.
