Emergency evacuation launched for Australians stranded on virus-hit MV Hondius cruise ship
The Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade is launching emergency repatriation procedures for four Australians.
They’re on board the cruise ship hit by a fatal outbreak of Hantavirus.
Passengers and crew stranded on the MV Hondius are set to finally disembark the ship when it docks in the Canary Islands.
Once the passengers leave the ship, they will be ushered onto buses, and then they will be taken to the aircraft.
