Germany says Madeleine McCann suspect can’t be extradited to UK because of Brexit

Sky News contributor Joe Hildebrand discusses the Madeleine McCann case as German officials claim the prime suspect is unable to be extradited to the UK to face trial due to Brexit.

“Under the German constitution, no German may be extradited to a foreign country, except for EU member states,” Mr Hildebrand said.

“It’s weird, given Germany’s 20th-century history, it gets to pick and choose who it plays ball with in terms of the law.”
