‘War back on’: United States predicted to strike Iran in retaliation for ‘pot shots’

Sky News Australia Defence Analyst Peter Jennings warns Iran’s recent attacks on ships in the Strait of Hormuz will force the US to re-enter open conflict.

“I think there’s a high chance that the war will be back on,” Mr Jennings told Sky News host Sharri Markson.

“There is no way that the US Navy is going to stand by and see the Revolutionary Guard take pot shots at tankers, let alone the US Navy itself.

“It seems to me that this is not a situation that the Americans can just accept passively.”
