Approximately two million people attended Colombian singer Shakira’s free concert at Copacabana Beach in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
The ‘Todo Mundo no Rio’ mega concert, funded by the city government to revitalise the local economy, is estimated to have generated roughly R$800 million — AUD 226 million — across industries such as tourism and retail.
