US is economically ‘suffocating’ the ‘corrupt’ IRGC
US Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent has lashed out at the Iranian regime for a major “miscalculation” in the ongoing conflict in the region.
The Treasury secretary’s comments came during a Fox News interview with Maria Bartiromo.
Bessent added that IRGC funds held in bank accounts across Gulf states have been frozen by the US.
The Treasury Secretary also expressed optimism that oil prices after the conflict will be lower than expected.
Bessent also asserted that the US is economically “suffocating” the Iranian regime.
The Treasury Secretary then called the regime a “corrupt” institution that steals from its own people.
