‘Drongo economics’: Fuel may spike again after government’s halving of fuel excise
Sky News host Paul Murray details how the fuel crisis prompted the government to halve the fuel excise.
This comes as fears grow of another potential spike in fuel prices.
“The fuel situation, well, we got a win eventually out of the government, but remember they made us kick and scream and demand weeks after the Strait of Hormuz was closed,” Mr Murray said.
“The federal government that takes 52 cents in every single litre … is taken by tax, well, they cut that in half.”
