Major Warringah Freeway traffic changes from Saturday | 7NEWS
The Warringah Freeway undergoes a major traffic switchover beginning Saturday, May 2, as part of a nearly decade-long $2 billion upgrade project. New merge points, signage and bus lanes will be activated, with significant changes including Harbour Tunnel-only access from Ernest Street and no Cahill Expressway access from Falcon Street or Military Road. A dedicated 2.2-kilometre southbound bus lane will provide uninterrupted travel to Wynyard, with the freeway upgrade scheduled for completion by year’s end and the Western Harbour Tunnel connection due in 2028.
