‘It’s wrong’: Abbott accuses ‘left establishment’ of dismissing Voice referendum verdict
Former prime minister Tony Abbott says the current Labor government does not seem to care about the results of The Voice referendum, as calls mount to stop Welcome to Country ceremonies on Anzac Day.
“The one time we were asked about Indigenous separatism, The Voice referendum, again the answer was a resounding no,” Mr Abbott told Sky News host Peta Credlin.
“The green left establishment that runs Australia today has just gone on as if that vote never took place.
“It’s wrong, and this is one of the reasons why so many people feel that our democracy is not working as it should.”
