‘Extraordinary stupidity’: Cory Bernardi blows up over immigration

SA One Nation Leader Cory Bernardi believes reducing immigration is the way to make housing more affordable.

“The stupidity attached to this debate and what I’ve actually just heard from Linda is extortionary,” Mr Bernardi told Sky News host Paul Murray.

“Hundreds of thousands of people came into this country in recent years, 0.33 per cent of them actually had building skills.

“We don’t need more nail tech salon people, we don’t need more NDIS workers, we don’t need more people sponging off the system.

“Until you address immigration, we are never going to touch the size of this.”
