‘First to capitulate’: US and Iran betting on each other’s surrender

Seattle University American Politics Professor Dr Patrick Schoettmer says the US and Iran clearly don’t want to go back to a “high level of conflict”.

Mr Schoettmer told Sky News Australia that they don’t want to see things “begin to spiral out”.

“But I think both sides are betting that the other will be the first to capitulate.”
