‘American left’ violence surge raises alarm after latest Trump assassination attempt

Journalist Eve Barlow warns of increasing political violence from the “American left” following yet another assassination attempt on US President Donald Trump.

“We are seeing this rising trend among the leftists in the country who are resorting to acts of extreme violence and targeting big events,” Ms Barlow told Sky News host Danica De Giorgio.

“A lot of it, I think, lands in the media. Why are the media using such inflammatory language to describe this administration all the time?

“That is a constant media push to people who have extremist tendencies, who have grievances at the moment, to take up arms.”
