Victoria ramps up bushfire defence with major firefighter funding boost
The Victorian Government is set to unveil a huge funding boost for firefighting services in next month’s state budget, aimed at strengthening bushfire response capabilities.
This includes $100 million to upgrade the CFA’s aging tanker fleet.
In addition, $22 million will be provided for better training and new protective gear for volunteers.
