‘Duplicitous and dangerous’ IRGC leaders ‘cut from the same cloth’ as ‘hardline’ government

The Foreign Desk Editor-in-Chief Lisa Daftari warns that IRGC leaders carry the same “hardline” regime ideology as the Iranian government and warns they “will kill protesters again”.

“We are not dealing with a partner that can’t be trusted, we are dealing with a duplicitous, fraud partner who will continue again to play this game,” Ms Daftari told Sky News host Danica De Giorgio.

“We have to ask ourselves, who are we dealing with?

“This is remnants of the same regime that are carrying the same ideology … they will kill Iranian protesters the same way as the other leaders did.

“These leaders are cut from the same cloth; they served in the same government, and if anything, I would say that these leaders are more hardline because they come from the IRGC.

“If the American strategic imperative is not to have nuclear weapons … How can we deal with a government whose very existence is to have nuclear weapons?”
