‘Timing was pretty poor and unfortunate’: Pat Conroy on Geelong oil refinery fire

Defence Industry Minister Pat Conroy discusses the major fire which broke out at an oil refinery in Geelong, Victoria, earlier this week.

The Viva Energy Refinery is one of only two currently operational oil refineries in the country.

“Obviously, the timing was pretty poor and pretty unfortunate,” Mr Conroy told Sky News Political Editor Andrew Clennell.

“Viva has expressed confidence in sourcing replacement petrol internationally to manage that gap.”
