A concerto premiering this weekend in Adelaide brings together the unlikely pairing of drifting and music.
Renowned composer Giuseppe “Joe” Chindamo created the piece as an ode to friend Dean Newcombe and his love of motorsport.
Newcomb, who is the principal clarinettist with the Adelaide Symphony Orchestra, hopes to continue the sport of drifting, but says he may give it up to spend more time with his kids.
