‘Anti-democracy’: Virginia Governor signs bill to award electoral votes to winner of popular vote
Sky News host James Morrow has criticised Virginia Governor Abigail Spanberger for being “anti-democracy” after she signed a bill to award electoral votes in a presidential election to the winner of the popular vote.
“Abigail Spanberger – who ran as a real moderate but is anything but – she’s being slammed for signing a bill to award the state’s presidential electoral votes to the winner of the national popular vote,” Mr Morrow said.
“Now, this means that if California and New York go all in for a Democrat, but Virginians vote Republican, their electoral votes could wind up going to a Democrat.
“This seems like the most anti-democracy thing I can imagine.”
