PM says no request for blockade support as concerns grow over fuel supply | ABC NEWS
Prime Minister Anthony Albanese is urging the US and Iran to re-open the Strait of Hormuz, and he’s ruling out any prospect of assisting Donald Trump’s blockade.
The comments came as the PM announced Vice Admiral Mark Hammond as the new head of the Australian Defence Force.
There’s also growing concern about what a prolonged stand-off in the Gulf could mean for Australia’s fuel supplies, but the government insists they’re secure for now.
