Kamala Harris ‘thinking about’ running for US president in 2028
Former US vice president and 2024 Democratic nominee Kamala Harris was asked whether she intended to run for president again in 2028.
Harris told civil rights activist Reverend Al Sharpton “I’m thinking about it”.
The question followed crowd chants of “run again!” during a discussion between Harris and Sharpton at National Action Network’s annual convention, where she was one of several Democrats hoping to earn support among Black voters.
She went on to tell the audience: “I served for four years being a heartbeat away from the presidency of the United States. I spent countless hours in my West Wing office, footsteps away from the Oval Office. I spent countless hours in the Oval Office and the situation room. I know what the job is, and I know what it requires.”
