Trump to confront NATO over war failures and signals US withdrawal
White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt says US President Donald Trump will hold a “frank and candid” discussion with NATO Secretary-General about how the alliance failed the US during its war with Iran.
The US president is set to meet NATO’s Mark Rutte at the White House to review the ongoing conflict and the ceasefire.
Officials say Mr Trump believes the American people have been let down by NATO and is expected to discuss a potential withdrawal from the alliance.
