Point-of-view footage obtained from a Russian suicide drone shows the moment it pursued and struck a minibus in Kherson, Ukraine, on Wednesday, March 11, causing an explosion that Ukrainian authorities said left at least 20 people injured.
The footage was posted by a Kherson-based Telegram channel in order to counter disinformation being spread by Russian accounts. They said the footage had been “intercepted” during the attack.
Before the video was posted, pro-Russian military bloggers had falsely claimed that the blast was caused by explosives being transported inside the minibus.
Footage of the aftermath showed the bus burned out as emergency crews tended to victims.
Kherson’s regional government said women aged 40, 46, 48, and 57, and men aged 51, 52, and 58, were among those hospitalised with “explosive injuries and shrapnel wounds.”
