White House hints at Russian intelligence helping Iran
Sky News Washington Correspondent Jonathan Kearsley comments on speculation that Russian intelligence is aiding Iran against the US.
“White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt … seemed to suggest those reports citing senior US officials were accurate,” Mr Kearsley said.
“The US is aware of Russian intelligence being used by Iran to try and track and locate US soldiers, US fighters in the region, to help Iran launch drone attacks or aerial attacks on US military bases.
“But as to the actual impact that is having, well, the White House seems to suggest it’s not much at all.”
