‘No joint party room’: Nationals MP details why Coalition split occurred

Nationals MP Anne Webster says there was no joint party room to discuss Prime Minister Anthony Albanese’s hate speech laws.

“Consequently, a decision we had taken earlier in the day is that we would resign with them,” Ms Webster told Sky News host Chris Kenny.

“The difficulty has been, there was no joint party room, there was no way for us to come together as a Coalition … to pass legislation, that did not happen.”
