The prime minister has announced a major backdown on his government’s hate speech laws drafted in the wake of the Bondi terror attack.
Just days before it was set to be introduced to parliament, he has now split the bill after the Greens and Coalition made it clear they would not support the changes aimed at tackling antisemitism.
