The UK communications watchdog Ofcom has launched an investigation into Elon Musk’s X platform over its AI tool Grok, which is being used to create sexualised images of women and children. Malaysia and Indonesia have become the first nations to ban the chatbot, while British Technology Minister Liz Kendall announces new laws making deepfake and non-consensual images illegal. If found guilty, X faces fines of up to 10% of global revenue and a potential nationwide ban.
