Bondi Junction hero Amy Scott battles breast cancer | 7NEWS
Detective Inspector Amy Scott, the police officer who stopped the Bondi Junction Westfield stabbing rampage on April 13th, 2024, by shooting dead a knife-wielding attacker who had killed six people, has been diagnosed with a rare and aggressive form of breast cancer. NSW Police Legacy established a fundraiser to assist with medical costs, which surpassed its $25,000 target within one hour, reaching approximately $200,000 as donations poured in from grateful supporters. The mother of two, with over two decades of service to New South Wales Police, has been dealing with the diagnosis for months but still offered her support during the Bondi Beach terror attack.
