Sydney Harbour Bridge tolls to double with two-way charging | 7NEWS

Sydney Harbour Bridge will reintroduce two-way tolling in 2028 when the Western Harbour Tunnel opens, doubling crossing costs from the current $4.41 peak rate. The measure will fund the permanent extension of Sydney’s $60-a-week toll cap, which has already provided over 680,000 refunds totalling $211 million. The bridge originally charged sixpence in both directions when it opened, but northbound tolls were removed in 1970.
