Bikie battles escalate: police arrest 12 Hells Angels members

Police have arrested 12 members and associates of the Hells Angels bikie gang. These arrests are part of a special police operation called Strike Force Benson.
The police unit, known as the Raptor Squad, started this operation in August 2025. It was set up because of growing tension between the Hells Angels and another bikie gang, the Gladiators, after an alleged takeover of a clubhouse in the Hunter Region in July 2025.
To try and calm things down, police issued special orders to 27 bikie members in August 2025, telling them not to go near the clubhouse. They also issued over 30 “consorting warnings” to Hells Angels members. These warnings tell bikie members they can’t regularly associate with other known criminals.
