Teen says social media ban cuts off communication with family overseas
Thirteen-year-old Barika believes the federal government’s social media ban disadvantages children like her who’ve used Snapchat and Messenger to communicate with cousins, aunties and uncles overseas.
“I can’t talk to my grandparents because of the social media ban,” she said.
“They should also look into that and see how people have migrated, how it’s going to affect their children.”
