The Tasmania Fire Service has confirmed that a bushfire at Dolphin Sands has destroyed 19 homes, with 40 properties damaged, while dozens of other assets have been damaged.
The blaze has been contained, but more severe weather is forecast from Monday.
Severe weather and high fire danger are forecast to return, starting with winds potentially reaching 100 kilometres an hour.
